Contract Design & Project Tendering
Through the partnership ecosystem of Prometheus in China, we are able to source best available slots in all major shipyards in the region for all of our standard vessel designs series as well as all the optimized vessels concepts created for our clients on bespoke basis. In partnership with major Chinese design houses, a full package of ship basic design drawings (GA, lines, trim & stability booklet, midship, bill of materials, maker list) and comprehensive Shipbuilding Specifications that reflect owner's specific requirements operating experience are developed and transmitted during contract design tendering phase to multiple shipyards. Our commercial team ensures that the best result is attained for project pricing and delivery time through the tendering process and partner companies can assist in the final legal and financing stages as well.

Local Ship Design Optimization Studies
From concept to detailed designs, we have the capability of local hullform optimization studies with the use of model and full scale RANS methods with wide variation of local shape through morphing. Synchronous stern lines optimization combined with development of custom , wake-adapted novel propeller and ESD designs that are designed in-tandem can further refine and attain energy savings for prospective clients based on either existing production hulls or new concepts.

DEcarbonization of Ships and fleets
Prior making tailormade ship designs for our client we utilization our advanced voyage - vessel response simulation tools blended with actual client operating data and freight market statistics and forecasts to create customized fleet decarbonization plans, optimize them for minimizing total cost of ownership based on client operating and asset management profile. Annual , quarterly and ad-hoc reports update and re-run optimization algorithms based on new assumptions for exogenous factors (freight, fuel, ETS taxation etc.) ensuring constantly updated decision matrices assisting our clients in making simulation-based data driven decisions.
Ship Concept Designs - Robust and Holistic Ship Design Optimization
The core of our ship design services, the Prometheus platform is based on a proprietary method for the holistic, robust and simulation driven ship design. Using state-of-the-art Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) systems , fully parametric ship models of hull geometry, compartmentation and engine rooms are created. The holistic nature of the design method ensures that all critical aspects in ship design (calm water resistance, structural, trim and stability, damaged stability, added resistance in waves/wind, propeller matching and design, engine-hull-propeller matching) are integrated with direct numerical calculations and validated empirical methods. A dynamic , real-time voyage simulation module running on statistically pre-processed client target routes assesses the in-service performance of design variants while the embedded optimization algorithms generate typically 3-10,000 designs for each concept with each variant fully dimensioned and simulated. Thanks to our academic track record the optimization post-processing is fast and ensures that 10-15 dominant variants are presented to clients for the final concept design selection. Our method has a comprehensive library of models for novel fuels (LNG, Methanol, Ammonia, Nuclear) and energy saving technologies (Wind Assisted Propulsion, Air Lubrication , ESDs) where virtual prototyping and lack of extensive references make simulation-driven optimization a necessity.
